An exceptional Middle Eastern experience in Hoboken. A wonderful variety of mouthwatering appetizers and perfectly grilled meats & the mixed platter was outstanding, and the lamb chops were the best I’ve ever had. The cherry drink, kindly recommended and offered for tasting by the owner was truly unique and delicious. The owner and staff are warm, friendly, and respectful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

You get so much for what you order and the customer service is top notch. They make everything in house and have great selection for every taste. I would recommend bringing more people in than not since the portions are very generous. I had the chicken with the tandoori style recommendation. I also had the falafel plate since I wanted some hummus and salad. It’s also BYOB and had a continuous stream of online orders come in. Whether you eat in or out, order for the family and get yourself some Ali Baba. Aberham (the owner) and his team will treat you like family. Will be back when I’m in Hoboken again!!

LOVE ALI BABA & RECOMMEND IT FOR A GOOD BITE! We ordered the 40 thieves grilled platter and lamb chops. Everything cooked to perfection & the service was fast. The place itself is small but cost and clean. I always come back πŸ’™

I honestly cannot understand how this place isn’t constantly packed with a line out the door. It is a total hidden gem that deserves so much more recognition! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly cozy and quiet, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal where you can actually hear yourself think. Now, let’s talk about the food: absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. What truly elevates the experience, though, is the staff. Everyone there is amazing, but it all starts at the top. The owner is hands-on, personally overseeing every detail and ensuring that everything is perfect for his guests. You can really feel the passion and care he puts into the business. If you’re looking for great food and top-tier service in a welcoming environment, do yourself a favor and visit. This place deserves all the hype!"

My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from Ali Baba Restaurant and it was some of the worst food I’ve had in a long time. I’m not sure if the kitchen was having an off night, but almost everything we ordered was either flavorless or just tasted bad. We started with the vegetable soup and it was atrocious β€” we couldn’t eat it at all. Both of our main dishes were also missing the sauces they were supposed to come with, which made them extremely dry. We ordered desserts as well, but the olive oil cake was inedible and the pistachio baklava was overly oily. It’s really disappointing to spend $80+ on a takeout order and end up throwing half of it away. I would recommend saving your money and ordering from somewhere else. I sadly do not recommend eating here. The only good part of my meal was the pita bread.
